a piece of peace

so i had an emotional moment yesterday. a slew of not-so-nice words followed by fuming, and concluded with a bit of 'teary-eyedness. yes, crying.
i hate to admit it. i let my emotions get the best of me.
and this wouldn't be so bad, if the guys working for me hadn't been there to see it all. not my most manly moment.
so it brings me to wonder, why do we say we are good when we feel cheery, and bad when we feel like putting a fist through a wall? i mean, for the most part, i doubt our circumstances have changed that much.
i'm being insensitive, i know it, its judgemental, maybe a little rude, but i wonder, does God look down at us and think we're a bunch of pansies?

sure, you have a rough homelife, but have you ever been imprisoned.

maybe a loved one has cancer, or fatal illness, does that null and void every other blessing before it? do our emotions truly reflect our thanks to the Creator 'of all good things?' or do we continually whine about not having this good emotion, or feeling like we've made something worthwhile. i mean heck, we aren't worth much on our own.
i am being insensitive.
God has blessed me with more than i could hope for. but i think a lot of that has to do with trust. God blessed me with a lot when i was a single, angry janitor. i still thanked Him for it.

hey, you can be thankful too. God made you who you are, he didn't make you a slug or a mosquito or the danged cat thats walking on my desk.

I think the Lord has too much compassion and empathy to call us pansies. maybe...
